Accepted documents for POA verification
Verifying your address is a crucial step in completing identity verification (KYC) for your Wirex Business accounts. Providing valid proof of address (POA) ensures that the information you provided during registration is accurate. This process helps prevent fraud, complies with regulatory requirements, and enhances security.
To verify your address, you must submit a document that includes both your name and current residential address.
This guide outlines the documents that are accepted and not accepted for address verification.
Accepted Documents
Documents Dated Within the Last 6 Months:
- Bank-Issued Documents: Bank or credit card statements, notification letters, mortgage payment documents, passbooks, etc.
- Utility Bills: Water, electricity, gas, landline, and internet bills.
- Government-Issued Documents: Tax bills, residence certificates, voter registration documents, vehicle registration certificates, temporary registration sheets, benefits or pension-related letters.
- Other Documents: Rent bills from real estate agencies, employer-issued address confirmation letters, lease agreements.
Documents Valid Regardless of Date (Must Be Unexpired):
- Government-Issued ID: National ID card, driving license, residence permit (must contain the residential address).

- Screenshots
- Mobile phone bills
- Medical bills
- Receipts
- Insurance statements
- Folded envelopes
