To comply with regulatory requirements and ensure the security of our platform, all business customers must complete a Know Your Business (KYB) verification during onboarding. This involves providing specific documents that verify the legal structure, ownership, and address of the business.
We currently support the following business types:
1. Privately Owned Companies
This includes limited liability companies, private corporations, and similar legal entities registered under national corporate law.
Required Documents:
Certificate of Incorporation
A government-issued document that confirms the company has been legally formed and registered.Articles of Association
A legal document outlining the rules, purpose, and internal governance structure of the company.Directors Register
A list of current directors, including full legal names and positions within the company.Shareholder Register
An official record of the individuals or entities that hold shares in the company, including their ownership percentages.Ownership Structure Chart
A visual or written summary of the company’s ownership hierarchy, showing direct and indirect ownership up to the Ultimate Beneficial Owner(s).Proof of Address – Operational Address (if different from Registered Address)
A recent utility bill, lease agreement, or similar document verifying the location from which the business operates.
2. Legal Partnerships
This includes general partnerships, limited partnerships, and other recognized partnership entities.
Required Documents:
Partnership Agreement
A legal document that sets out the terms and responsibilities of the partners involved in the business.Proof of Address
A document such as a utility bill or lease agreement that confirms the physical address of the business.
3. Trusts
We support registered legal trusts, such as family trusts, charitable trusts, or business trusts.
Required Documents:
Trust Deed
A legal document that establishes the trust, outlines the trustee's duties, and names the beneficiaries.Proof of Address
Documentation that confirms the address of the trust’s administration or trustee office.
4. Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs)
For DAOs operating as collective entities, we accept relevant documentation that defines their purpose and governance structure.
Required Documents:
Whitepaper
A formal document describing the DAO’s mission, technical foundation, and operational logic.Smart Contracts
Code-based protocols that govern the DAO's operations, preferably with external verification or audit where possible.Token Distribution and Governance Model
A clear description or chart showing how governance tokens are distributed and how decision-making processes are managed.
KYC Requirements for Associated Parties
In addition to KYB, all associated individuals—such as directors, shareholders, partners, trustees, or DAO governance leads—are required to pass a Know Your Customer (KYC) check.
